Molefe Ts'oana

Molefe is curently studying at the university of Cape Town doing his third year in Bsc Civil Engineering and he reckons that he is doing well. He is a beneficiary of our Social Responsibility Program which he did while he was at Hlotse High School before he went to the National University of Lesotho. He was selected from among the best after  competing to write an essay on a topic that was given to all students who were interested in studying at BL in his school. He then with others who were regarded as the best  from different schools in Leribe undertook two months at BL doing a Certificate in Computers with the aim of introducing them to the digital world and thus arousing their interest and preparing them for tertiary studies or for absorption into the market place.

We caught up with Molefe while he was on holidays in January 2010 and we sought to find out his opinion on the Social Responsibility Program. Molefe is adamant that the program is very beneficial in preparing students for tertiary institutions. In fact he maintains that what we are offering is more than enough to help students navigate themselves in academia as an introduction. He encourages us to continue offering our helping hand in developing our Country. Indeed if a student still thinks of the benefits of studying Computers at BL more than three years down the line it means it has an intended impact. We are hoping for the best for Molefe and all the others who have gone through our other programs.

Molefe wrote a poem about BL which he rendered during the graduations and wrote it for us afterwards
